Our laundry room light had to go. It never worked right – probably a ballast problem – but it was also ugly. And as you know from Chrissie’s lamp Blog, she doesn’t like ‘ugly’ very much. It was that office building type rectangular flourescent light that clicked as you turned it on and hummed while running. You felt like Tom Hanks in Joe vs. The Volcanoe everytime you went into the room. So this week picked up a new light at Home Depot (helping out the economy just a little), I read up on taking out old flourescent lights and installing new ones and proceeded to replace The Old Ugly with the Sleak New this morning. I switched off the breakers to the room, checked with my voltmeter and went to town on the old one. With just a little swearing and only one bang on the head it was gone in no time. The new one went up like butter and presto, I present to you our new laundry room light:
Looks nice right? The only problem now is that with the new light glowing softly in the room you can see what a mess it is. Which just means I have another room to clean before Chrissie get home. Will this cleaning never end I ask you?
Happy lighting

It looks great Kevin. It sounded tooo easy. My experience is the job is not done until you draw blood.
