The Pooka Life

I have arrived in San Diego and spent all day with “the little fella” as my mom calls him. I prefer to use the term “fat boy” or “massive baby” as this seems much more appropriate. “Little fella” makes him sound, well, little and there ain’t much little about this guy. Actually, he looks a lot like me as a kid. All rolls of baby fat and pot belly. He has managed to somehow get cuter in the four months since I last saw him. Now, he giggles this little baby laugh that causes me to drop what I am doing, rush over to him and smother him in auntie kisses. Oddly enough, he stops laughing once I start the lip smacking. Maybe he hasn’t quite warmed up to me yet. I’m sure by the end of this weekend, he’ll be eagerly awaiting his auntie kisses. What a lucky baby!

Haven’t yet heard from Kevin but I figure he can’t starve to death in just one day. I’m hoping he’s been too busy mopping the floor to answer my phone call but that may just be a pipe dream. Here’s hoping he remembered to feed the fish today!
