Liza emailed me to gripe about my lack of posting.\u00a0 This from the woman who is so busy we haven’t seen each other in over a month!\u00a0 So to appease her, I’m going to sum up my life for the last week in 2 words or less.<\/p>\n

Hectic.\u00a0 (Ha!\u00a0 Less than two baby!)<\/p>\n

No really.\u00a0 First, my baby insisted on growing and having another birthday.\u00a0 She is now three.\u00a0 She says this proudly while announcing emphatically, “you have no more babies!\u00a0 No more!\u00a0 Alls big girls now!”, and each time she does another piece of my heart shatters.\u00a0 She can’t be three.\u00a0 Not yet!\u00a0 I still have at least seven more years of baby snuggling left in me!<\/p>\n

Papa and Manny threw her a birthday party with a bouncy house and presents.\u00a0\u00a0 She was in heaven.\u00a0 Oddly enough, she really liked opening the birthday cards.\u00a0\u00a0 Most kids toss the cards and dive right into unwrapping the gift.\u00a0 Not Kulia.\u00a0 She loved opening each and every card.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Of course, she loved the gifts too.\u00a0 The girls have been dying to try out the chalk animal print maker thing-a-ma-jig but it has been pouring rain here so no dice.\u00a0 Sorry kids.\u00a0 Maybe next month.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

She fell in love with her little birthday teddy bear.\u00a0 As soon as she opened it up, she gave it the biggest, sweetest hug ever.<\/p>\n

Oh how I wish I was that little bear.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Along with Kulia, sweet baby Amelia is turning two this week.\u00a0 We have to miss her party so I gave Anna her birthday present a wee bit early.\u00a0 It’s the sweetest little summer jumper.\u00a0 Of course, I probably should have knit her a sweater what with the weather we’re having.\u00a0 Grrrr.\u00a0 But it sure came out cute!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

And then we had the last day of preschool for Leina.\u00a0 Due to the excessive rain (did I mention it’s been pouring lately?), they had to cancel their field trip.\u00a0 Instead, they had class as always.\u00a0 Leina was hard at work making a masterpiece for her teacher.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

You can’t tell from here but the petals on her flower had to be colored in like a rainbow.\u00a0 Red, orange, yellow, blue, green, purple and repeat.\u00a0 No amount of hurrying could daunt her.\u00a0 She was determined to make it just perfect.\u00a0 That’s my girl!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Finally, we had the last hug good-bye.\u00a0 Teacher Michelle has been a dream.\u00a0 Everything you’d want for your child’s first teacher – sweet, kind, loving and patient.\u00a0 Leina is very interested to learn where teacher Michelle lives so she can go and visit her every day.\u00a0 So far I’ve been able to avoid answering this question.\u00a0 I’m sure Ms. Michelle doesn’t want a bunch of 4 yr olds camped out on her front lawn all summer long with reams of colored paper waiting to be admired.\u00a0 We’ll see how much longer I can stall Leina.<\/p>\n
