{"id":953,"date":"2008-05-11T09:50:49","date_gmt":"2008-05-11T16:50:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.chrissierocks.org\/?p=953"},"modified":"2009-07-14T14:48:26","modified_gmt":"2009-07-14T21:48:26","slug":"my-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.chrissierocks.org\/?p=953","title":{"rendered":"My Day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Happy Mother&#8217;s Day!\u00a0 As I write this, Kevin is curled up in bed with the girls watching TV.\u00a0 Today, I&#8217;m off duty.\u00a0 No kitchen cleaning, no kid watching, no diaper changing, no meal making.\u00a0\u00a0Just a day to wander about and breath deep.\u00a0 Ah Mother&#8217;s Day, how I love you!<\/p>\n<p>So, you&#8217;re wondering about the loot, right?\u00a0 Well, for starters, Kevin&#8217;s trip to Japan got postponed to Monday.\u00a0 That was a big gift.\u00a0 It may get pushed back even farther if things don&#8217;t untangle at work.\u00a0\u00a0 Last weekend, he took the girls to a ceramics place and had them paint me some <span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\">hideous<\/span> adorable plates that will clutter up my house for years to come.\u00a0 He presented them to me cackling with glee.\u00a0 At school, Leina made the adorable bee and flower craft.\u00a0 I only managed to snap\u00a0a few\u00a0pictures before the kids devoured it.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/pictures\/mothers_girls.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s the most ingenious thing.\u00a0 Just cookies with a hibachi stick through them and topped with a gum drop.\u00a0 So totally doable and adorable.\u00a0 Her teacher is simply amazing.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/pictures\/mothers_leina.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Kulia didn&#8217;t get to make a gift for me so she just gave me extra snuggles which, really, is all a mother ever wants.\u00a0 Just look at these soft chubba cheeks.\u00a0 Couldn&#8217;t you just nibble them?<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/pictures\/mothers_kulia.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And what, you ask, am I going to be doing today on my big free day?\u00a0 Well, wandering spritely around the house gets old after a while.\u00a0 So, I ran down to Sears yesterday and picked a little something up for myself.\u00a0 It&#8217;s my sister&#8217;s fault really.\u00a0 She recently got a new one and taunted me mercilessly about how cool it was and how I needed one too.\u00a0 Drat you Suzy.\u00a0 (And thank you too!)<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/pictures\/kenmore.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Happy Mother&#8217;s Day!\u00a0 As I write this, Kevin is curled up in bed with the girls watching TV.\u00a0 Today, I&#8217;m off duty.\u00a0 No kitchen cleaning, no kid watching, no diaper changing, no meal making.\u00a0\u00a0Just a day to wander about and breath deep.\u00a0 Ah Mother&#8217;s Day, how I love you!
