Spring came early this year and I am so very grateful. \u00a0Everything is blooming and growing. \u00a0Sun shine mixed with spring rain. \u00a0It’s all good, really.<\/p>\n
Except, of course, for the kidlets. \u00a0I swear, every week they bring home a new sickness just in time for the weekend. \u00a0I’ve had to sit inside and look longingly out the window for the last few weeks while I nurse a snotty and feverish kid. \u00a0Nothing nasty. \u00a0But it knocks them off their feet for the weekend. \u00a0I get them all patched up and send them back out into the world where they promptly ingest a new germ de jour. \u00a0As a result, I’m feeling a bit hampered. \u00a0I’d love to kick into spring cleaning, attack the garden, get the deck ready for use. \u00a0Instead, I find myself stuck on the sofa watching an endless stream of Pokemon. \u00a0Thank goodness for books!<\/p>\n
Between the illness and cancelling cable, my book reading has gone a bit wild. \u00a0This is a good thing. \u00a0I snuck out to Powells yesterday and stocked up. \u00a0For Leina I found The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe<\/em> and I cannot wait to get her started on it. \u00a0I remember being home sick from school and reading this series all in a row. \u00a0I just couldn’t get enough of it. \u00a0That was eons ago and I’ve forgotten most of it so rereading it to her will be a pleasure.<\/p>\n I need to unearth the camera a post some more pictures. \u00a0I need to get back to updating this blog. \u00a0 But with the sun shining and the flowers glowing, it’s going to be a hard thing to do!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Spring came early this year and I am so very grateful. \u00a0Everything is blooming and growing. \u00a0Sun shine mixed with spring rain. \u00a0It’s all good, really.
