Man am I tired.<\/p>\n
It’s not getting back into the routine after vacation. \u00a0It’s not the laundry or cleaning the house. \u00a0It’s not that I’m sick or under the weather. \u00a0No, the reason I am so worn out is this dog! \u00a0Last night I fell asleep at 9pm. \u00a0I’m going through multiple cups of coffee each day and still I find myself nodding off to sleep in the afternoon.<\/p>\n
The sorry truth is that this dog is kicking my butt.<\/p>\n
I walk her in the morning. \u00a0 I walk her in the early afternoon. \u00a0I walk her in the late afternoon. \u00a0I walk her at night. \u00a0And still she is bouncing all over the place! \u00a0How? \u00a0How is that possible? \u00a0Ok, actually, it isn’t quite that bad. \u00a0 As I type this she is snuggled up at my feet looking very sweet. \u00a0But the only reason she is doing that is because she has gone for THREE walks today at it is still before noon. \u00a0I do not think it is possible to tire her out. \u00a0She is indestructible. \u00a0I, however, am pooped after waddling about for 10 minutes. \u00a0These 45 minute power walks are going to be the death of me I know it. \u00a0 Forget the gym. \u00a0If you want to get in shape, come to my house and I will lend you my dog while I lie on the sofa and cat nap.<\/p>\n
I guess getting a dog is kind of like kids. \u00a0You forget all the tiring early days. \u00a0Now that I think about it, I remember having to do this same thing with Artie back when he was an energetic 3 year old. \u00a0When Leina was tiny, I would walk him 4 times a day and Kevin took him twice on top of that. \u00a0I’m thinking I’m going to have to re-adjust my attitude. \u00a0Artie, at age 13, was happy to lie around the house all day and go for one nice leisurely evening stroll. \u00a0Jada, at 3, requires a much higher level of care. \u00a0Gone are the days of lying about tossing popcorn to my dog. \u00a0Ah well, I suppose I could do with getting back into shape but man, it sure is a painful process!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
