I have been a bit distracted lately. \u00a0I have 101 different projects running through my head and I’m trying to do them all at once. \u00a0This means I work on something for about 7.8 minutes before moving on to the next to do item. \u00a0It isn’t working out so well. \u00a0<\/p>\n
Anyone have any ideas on how to get yourself to focus on one task at a time? \u00a0 Yesterday, I spent 10 minute agonizing over which unfinished task to tackle, decided it was too hard to decide, and ended up spending the rest of the night watching a Hallmark Channel movie. \u00a0Yes, it is that bad.<\/p>\n
Maybe it’s because it’s finally spring and the weather is warmer and the days longer. \u00a0 But whatever it is, my groove has been worn away. \u00a0Right now, I’m more like newly paved asphalt. \u00a0Flat and uninspired. \u00a0Luckily, it appears that the Hallmark Channel is continuously playing made for tv movies so I’m good there. \u00a0<\/p>\n
But seriously, I’ve set my chrissieterry mind to it and I will snap out of this. \u00a0Even if it means having Kevin hid the tv remote at night. \u00a0And in the morning too. \u00a0<\/p>\n
Maybe I should just cancel cable altogether. \u00a0(shudder) \u00a0<\/p>\n
I think I may have to fall back on my old reliable inspiration jump-start. \u00a0A trip to OfficeMax. \u00a0In law school, whenever I had a new paper or class or project to start, I always headed to the office supply store. \u00a0I would spend the afternoon buying notebooks, new pens and filing folders. \u00a0 Sure, I’d be out 50 bucks but I’d be so inspired to start working I couldn’t wait to rush home and get organized. \u00a0There is nothing like a clean notebook and fresh pens to make a girl feel ready to take on the world. \u00a0I haven’t been to the office supply store for years. \u00a0I think this may be the problem. \u00a0No wonder I can’t get anything done! \u00a0I’m surrounded by half dried out ball points, dog-eared \u00a0notebooks, and blunt pencils. \u00a0It’s enough to drive a girl to the Hallmark channel I tell you.<\/p>\n
