Well, cross another one off my bucket list. \u00a0I have survived gum surgery. \u00a0Yes!<\/p>\n
OK, really, yesterday I went in to have some gums moved from the top of my mouth to the bottom of my mouth. \u00a0Honestly, who thinks up this torture? \u00a0It all went according to plan except now the bottom of my mouth looks like a zombie. \u00a0Patches of pink gum criss crossed with stitched on strips of white gums overlaid on top. \u00a0I’d post a picture but Kevin refuses to help me out here. \u00a0What a baby.<\/p>\n
Best of all, we have Elmo here for a little visit so the girls are totally ignoring me. \u00a0Yes! \u00a0It’s just “Paapa” this and “Papa” that. \u00a0Poor guy. \u00a0I bet he’s thinking gum surgery is looking pretty good right about now. \u00a0He’s got them at a park where Kulia is demanding more underdog on the swing set and Leina is chattering a mile a minute. \u00a0It ain’t easy being a Papa. \u00a0And Kevin? \u00a0Well, it wouldn’t be a true adventure without a good Kevin story, right?<\/p>\n
So, last night I was feeling pretty rough. \u00a0After a dinner of pureed black bean soup and some more pills, my head was woosie and my stomach wasn’t feeling so hot too. \u00a0At 8pm, the girls came to kiss me goodnight and Kevin checked on me. \u00a0I asked him, is a weak and wavering voice, if he could bring me up a bowl of pudding to help settle my stomach. \u00a0Because when you are sick, there is nothing like a spot of pudding to set everything right. \u00a0So off Kevin goes and I wait. \u00a0And wait. \u00a0And wait. \u00a0I can hear the TV going downstairs and Kevin and Elmo laughing. \u00a0But the pudding? \u00a0Nothing. \u00a0Finally, around 10pm, I roust myself from bed and stumble downstairs. \u00a0What do I find but Kevin, sitting on the sofa with a cup of empty pudding on his stomach. \u00a0When he saw me, he immediately jumped to his feet, rushed to the fridge and grabbed another pudding for me. \u00a0But the damage was done. \u00a0I will now tease him mercilessly for the next 6 weeks about the Pudding Incident. \u00a0Ah, just thinking about it makes me feel so much better. \u00a0Or maybe those pain pills are finally kicking in….<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
